Job Title: Schools and Youth Fundraising and Education Executive
Reports to: Schools and Youth Programme Manager (Active Citizenship)

Job location: Home based during Covid-19
Pay Band: 4 (€37,019 to €43,552 per year)**
Contract: Specified Purpose Contract (September 2021**)**
Job Purpose:
· To maintain the high level of involvement of schools, school networks, teachers and volunteers in Concern’s schools programme.**
· The position has two clear areas of work.
o The first is to manage Concern’s fundraising appeals in schools through events such as the Concern FAST. You will be responsible for the planning, delivery and execution of Concern’s schools fundraising activities, working alongside the Head of Acquisition on the Supporter Marketing team.
o The second is to engage students, teachers and school networks in Concern’s Active Citizenship programme, by involving them in development education activities through the delivery of workshops, training sessions and classroom talks. You will also be involved in the production of teaching resources and materials.
· You will be working with second level schools, although there are a number of projects at primary level in which you will also be involved.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the Schools Programme Manager
· Be an active and dynamic member of the Active Citizenship (AC) team
· Planning and delivery of high quality talks, workshops and training sessions in support of school fundraising and other initiatives.
· Planning and development of direct marketing and fundraising materials, including direct mail packs, in conjunction with marketing, design and printing agencies.
· Proactively seek to develop new fundraising initiatives in schools to maximise income generation.
· Work to targets, both in terms of income generation and impact (i.e. number of schools contacted and visited), monitor and report progress made towards achieving those targets on a monthly basis.
· Ensure coordination of all school activities between Active Citizenship and Fundraising sharing information and integrating resources wherever possible
· Planning and delivery of educational resources and lesson plans for primary schools
· Online delivery of workshops/talks
· Manage relationships with school networks, individual schools, teachers, youth leaders and students/youth, with a specific focus on maximising financial support for Concern.
· Manage and coordinate schools newsletter for post primary and primary school teachers
· Contribute to effective communications of the programme through social and digital media – twitter and Instagram
· Be responsible for inputting to relevant parts of the AC Programme CRM database, ensuring accurate and up to date records
· Effectively use regular M&E feedback for reports
· Liaise closely with other functions of the Public Affairs Directorate
· Represent Concern on relevant groups and networks.
· Ensure that the values, the brand, and core messages of Concern are evident in all aspects of the position
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
· A Third level qualification
· Dynamic, energetic and enjoys working with young people
· Experience working as facilitator and adapting to online format
· Has a minimum of three years Development Education experience working with schools and youth
· Experience in delivering direct marketing or fundraising campaigns
· Experience working directly with teachers and youth leaders
· Experience in producing education resources targeting a youth audience
· Excellent Microsoft office, Social Media and zoom skills
· Experience working as an effective and productive member of a team
· Is available to work unsocial hours and travel to all parts of the country (post-Covid)
Desirable:
· Experience working in NGO
· Background in education, working in a school environment
· Project management
· Knowledge of fundraising
· Knowledge of safeguarding
· Full clean driver’s licence and access to own car
