Job Title: Private Sector Engagement Manager
Reports to: Business Development Manager
Liaises with: Various teams in Public Affairs, International Programmes and Strategy, Advocacy & Learning directorates as well as with our teams in our offices in UK, US, South Korea.
Job location: Dublin
Pay Band: 5 (€41,747- €49,114)
Contract: 1 year fixed term contract

Concern works with the private sector and business community in many ways: We contract the services of companies, procure products and receive both in-kind and financial support. We believe the private sector to be a key player in eliminating poverty.
Leaving No-one Behind, Concern’s 2016-2020 Strategic Plan, recognises this fact and calls on the organisation to have an even deeper relationship with the private sector in the delivery of our mission to help people living in extreme poverty achieve major improvements in their lives, which last and spread without ongoing support from Concern.
Job Purpose:
Working with the Business Development Manager, the Private Sector Engagement Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities for deeper engagement with the private sector in the delivery of Concern’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
· support Concern’s operations through researching and proposing new private sector relationships
· identify, qualify and engage with potential partners with the capacity and skills to increase the impact of Concern’s programmes
· support the consistent monitoring and evaluation of our key private partnerships
· manage ongoing relationships with private sector organisations
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
· At least five years fundraising, business development, or marketing experience in the private and/or INGO sectors OR five years INGO programme experience involving partnerships with the private sector
· Deep interest in INGO/International Development work
· Good communication, networking, influencing and relationship management skills – ability to generate cooperation between different functions and stakeholders to achieve objectives
· Goal-orientated - experience of delivering new initiatives and achieving agreed targets
· Strong research skills
· Primary degree in a relevant discipline
Desirable:
· New market development experience
· High value customer relationship/partnership management
· New business development
